Giving
WHY AND WHAT DO WE GIVE?
It is a natural response of a Christian to worship God with his time, treasures (finances) and talents. In the home God is preparing for us there will be constant and abundant giving between all. When we pray “Your kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven” (Matthew 6:10) it is only natural that we begin living with kingdom cultures now.“For God so loved the world that He gave…” (John 3:16) - If our Fathers love motivates Him to give, it is only natural for the Christian to be generous as well.
Note: Much of the western world has lost hope in the Christian, and maybe rightly so, because often they cannot find the qualities of God in them. This we must accept and respond to by radically following Jesus.
The greatest single cause of atheism in the world today is Christians: who acknowledge Jesus with their lips, walk out the door, and deny Him by their lifestyle. That is what an unbelieving world simply finds unbelievable.
