Prayer Meetings
Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up.
(Luke 18:1)
The church that Jesus builds will always be a praying church. Jesus not only told us to pray, but also told us what to pray (Matthew 6:9-13, Luke 11:2-4). From its beginnings the Christian church has been devoted to prayer (Acts 2:42). At KC we want to be devoted to Praising God, Preaching the Word, and Praying. We pray corporately at various times.
We pray before our Sunday gathering, and in Community Groups. Once a quarter we have an all night prayer meeting. Other than those established times, we pray often. The leaders pray together, the worship band prays together, we pray for the sick, we pray in our gatherings, we pray for the sermon, we pray for the believers, we pray for the lost, we pray during communion... we basically talk to God a lot.
